Collections & Donations

We want to take every precaution necessary when giving items to our seniors.  Many things that don't pose a danger to us may in fact pose a danger to them.  Please visit our Amazon Operation Christmas Wish List Link to purchase preselected items and ship to our address or look over our suggestions below.

Ways to Give

Your donations are critical for us to continue our advocacy and our Operation Christmas Senior initiatives of collecting, processing, and delivering gifts to seniors.

Clothing Basics

Basic items consist of pajama pants,

t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, sweaters, light jackets, under wear

Footwear

Although we don't know the resident's foot size, we suggest these ideas. Nonskid socks are important as they help prevent slips and falls. Additionally, slippers with grids are great ideas.

Toiletries

Basic toiletry items are essential for our seniors. Keeping in mind in hazards they can pose.  We recommend bar soaps, mild perfumes, shampoo and condition, deodorant, hairbrushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shaving lotion

Games

Games with small pieces and parts are more difficult for seniors to keep and store.  Please consider games with larger pieces that are easy to put away and doesn't pose a hazard.  Puzzle books with large letters are always great.

Warm throw blankets

Many residents feel chilly in these facilities so a throw blanket or a wheelchair blanket will surely bring a smile to a senior's face.  Also, a cute pillow would be an alternate idea.
